IHT Luxury Conference Publishes 10th Anniversary Magazine

The International Herald Tribune is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its luxury conference series with the publication of a limited edition magazine edited by IHT’s fashion editor and host of the conference Suzy Menkes. The issue was officially released Tuesday at the beginning of the IHT Heritage Luxury Conference in London.

Featuring a series of essays by Menkes and commissioned pieces from distinguished fashion writers, the magazine explores how the cultures and economies of the cities that hosted the conferences reflected different aspects of luxury and how that has changed over the years.

Contributors include Bandana Tewari, fashion features director for Vogue India, Fleur Britten, author and editor at The Sunday Times Style Magazine, and former fashion editor of Vogue Russia, Aliona Doletskaya. There are also a number of ‘Luxe Questionnaires’ in which Lady Amanda Harlech, Alber Elbaz and other fashion luminaries reflect on how they interpret luxury today.

The cover of the magazine features an illustration by Karl Lagerfeld, one of this year’s conference speakers.

Designed and produced in collaboration with Paris publishing house Stiletto Editions, the magazine was distributed to delegates at the Heritage Luxury conference at the InterContinental Park Lane in London, which ends Wednesday, as well as to 15,000 luxury professionals, fashion and design schools, and selected hotels.

The IHT luxury conferences series launched in 2001 and has been held in Paris (2001-2003), Hong Kong, Dubai, Istanbul, Moscow, New Delhi and Berlin.
