Lady Gaga Is Tudor’s Newest Brand Ambassador

Pop superstar Lady Gaga has become the newest face for Tudor’s “Born to Dare” advertising campaign.

She will join soccer star and fashion icon, David Beckham, and Beauden Barrett, star of the New Zealand All Blacks championship rugby team, in the advertising campaign, which states that those who wear Tudor watches “reinvent themselves every day.”

As part of the campaign, the Swiss luxury watch brand also is partnering with the All Blacks team and the DHL New Zealand Lions Series 2017, an international rugby series. The campaign was unveiled earlier this year.

“The infamously daring pop icon (is) notorious for being provocative both on- and off-stage and leading a foundation committed to empower youth, she personifies the very ‘BornToDare’ spirit Tudor lives by since its creation,” Tudor said in a statement.

In the first photograph as Tudor brand ambassador, she appears in a hardened pose sitting, staring straight at the camera wearing a tight fitted all-black outfit with huge, round padded shoulders. Her black hair is straight up, defying gravity, and her cheeks are lined with black and white glitter. She’s sitting with her arms crossed. She does resemble an All-Black rugby player.

On her wrist is the 41mm Heritage Black Bay Red with a burgundy unidirectional rotatable bezel, black dial, rose-gold hands and markers, cream colored luminescent coating and a distressed red-leather strap. It is powered by the in-house MT5602 caliber with a 70-hour power reserve.

Lady Gaga is a world class musician, songwriter, singer, dancer, actress and style icon who has earned six Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, numerous MTV Awards and has sold 150 million singles and more than 30 million albums.

“When you try and think of a daring individual in today’s popular culture, it is hard to find anyone more fitting the description than Lady Gaga. Behind the glitter and glam, her provocative style and political statements, she is about total showmanship,” Tudor said in its statement.

Georg Jensen Uses Women Role Models In New Ad Campaign

Iranian professional motocross rider Behnaz Shafiei

Danish design house Georg Jensen turned to five female role models to head its new campaign with the tagline, “You can never be too much you.”

The global video and print campaign encourages women to be themselves and to chart their own path to success. This values-driven approach is the vision of Eva-Lotta Sjostedt, who was appointed the first female CEO of Georg Jensen earlier this year and today leads the senior management team, where half its members are female, including Meeling Wong, U.S. President.

World champion boxer Cecilia Brækhus

“At Georg Jensen we’ve always encouraged women to be themselves and make their own success. Our campaign is the extension of that very philosophy and the women featured are the embodiment of that,” Sjöstedt said.

Award-winning chef Dominique Crenn

The role models featured in the campaign are: award-winning film director Susanne Bier (Denmark), WBA, WBC and WBO world champion welterweight boxer Cecilia Brækhus (Norway), award-winning comedian Sarah Kendall (Australia), professional motocross rider Behnaz Shafiei (Iran) and Michelin star chef Dominique Crenn (USA).

What these women have in common is they defied conventions and rose to the tops of their professions, the global design firm said in a statement.

The campaign is the product of creative agency Forsman & Bodenfors and award-winning director Lærke Herthoni. In addition, the company says it reflects a company influenced by men and women—from the master silversmith Georg Jensen’s wife Laura and daughter Lise who were part of the early business to female designers such as Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, Nina Koppel and Zaha Hadid who have collaborated with the design house over the years.

“We wanted this campaign to transcend ideals about beauty,” Sjöstedt said. “The women featured are powerful role models.”

Fabergé Unveils Advertising Campaign for the Next Generation

The House of Fabergé has just released a new print advertising campaign with world renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino that aims to reinterpret Fabergé for a new generation.

The idea behind the campaign was to capture the spirit and personality of youth by shooting real young people interacting with their friends, Fabergé said in a statement. Josh Fabergé, a young Fabergé descendent, was chosen as a model for the campaign along with three of his contemporaries—Mélanie de Pouqueville, Nina Flohr and Sophia Flohr.

In addition to Testino, the team behind the black and white advertising campaign include: Katharina Flohr, Fabergé creative and managing director, fashion stylist Carine Roitfeld and makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury.

“We wanted to celebrate la jeunesse doree (gilded youth) with this campaign and make Fabergé relevant to a younger audience,” Katharina Flohr said. “We invited Josh and his friends to discover Fabergé for themselves, engaging with the jewelry, mixing it up and layering the pendants however they like. The result is a compelling image that tells the story of a new generation reinterpreting Fabergé for their contemporaries.”

The new black and white visuals will run in spring issues of niche, trend-driven titles in key international markets, the brand said. It will feature Les Favorites de Fabergé—a collection of fine jewelry egg pendants that introduces a more accessible price point for young customers.

The new generation campaign complements Fabergé’s inaugural advertising campaign, also shot by Mario Testino, which was introduced in November 2011 promoting the company’s high jewelry product line, Fabergé said.

The new campaign features:

Zénaïde Sapphire Egg Pendant Locket
One of a series of three Fabergé egg locket pendants designed in the graphic style of traditional Uzbek textiles and named for the Princess Zénaïde Yusupov, a favorite of the Imperial family.

Oeuf Cadeau Egg Pendant
This egg pendant celebrates Fabergé’s art of giving. The polished rose gold egg is tied with a ribbon of diamonds, of over one carat, and fastened with a bow.

Oeuf Matelassé Diamants Egg Pendant
The small quilted egg pendant from the Matelassé series, recalls the fashionable jeweled egg pendants of the House of Fabergé. The soft, cushioned quilting in matt white gold is studded with white diamonds.

Kirsten Dunst Poses Nude for Bulgari’s New Ad Campaign

Actress Kirsten Dunst has been out of the spotlight for at least a year but now she’s back in a big way by baring all for a new Bulgari fragrance and jewelry advertisement.

With Florence’s Boboli Gardens as the backdrop, Dunst wears little more than purple fabric, jewels from the Italian luxury jeweler’s new Mediterranean Eden Collection and a large bottle of Mon Jasmin Noir, the company’s new fragrance. She lies seductively with her co-star: a (presumably stuffed) lion. The advertisement campaign was shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

You may remember a similar ad campaign with actress Juilanne Moore lying seductively covered with nothing but a handbag, Bulgari jewels and two live lion cubs. An oversized billboard of the ad was slated to run on Doge's Palace overlooking St. Mark's Square in Venice. But the mayor deemed the ad inappropriate for the location.

The Bulgari ad campaign will make its debut in the April issues of fashion magazines and the Mediterranean Eden Collection will be in Bulgari stores worldwide by May, according to media reports. There are no reports of a picture from the new campaign appearing in St. Mark’s Square.

You can view more photographs from the campaign here.
